The BG51-OEM radiation sensor is a scaled-down version of the BG51. The electrical specifications, however, are identical. The BG51-OEM is capable of detecting beta radiation (electrons), gamma radiation (photons) and X-rays. The BG51-OEM sensor is primarily intended for applications where weight and dimensions are critical (cube satellites). The BG51-OEM sensor is primarily intended for applications where weight and dimensions are critical (cube satellites). For standard applications the BG51 should be the first choice. The BG51 is equipped with a housing to protect the sensitive sensor window from injuries that could affect the functionality of the sensor.
